I don't know whether this is an issue or not, but its puzzling me, so I thought I'd mention it and see what you think...
Danny loves everybody usually and always wants to say hello and have a stroke, however, just recently on the past few occasions that the window cleaner has been he has barked at him and won't go near him for a stroke, either when the man has been in the back garden or when he has been collecting the money from the front door - Jake on the other hand launches himself at him and has a good fuss :roll: Danny's tail is wagging whilst he is barking and isn't displaying any signs of aggression, but he wouldn't even take a biscuit from the window cleaner... I asked the window cleaner what Danny does when I'm not in and he says 'nothing' - he tells me he just lays in his bed and watches him but doesn't bark...
Anyway, yesterday I pulled onto the driveway - boys were the the boot, and got out of the car, put the boys' leads on and they jumped out - everything normal. A boy (3/4 years old) from across the road came over to say hello with his dad following behind... he was a bit warey (they don't have pets and my too are big boys) so wouldn't come right up to us, but his dad did - Danny started barking at him, tail wagging but wouldn't go near him for a stroke. Jake does his usual and leaps on the bloke and gets a good fuss!! I say 'no' to Danny and check his lead and he stops, but still won't go near the man (who I apologise to
)
What do you think of this behaviour? - is it something I should worry about? do you think its something to do with protection of his territory? me? Jake? It has only happened with these two people though, no-one else - no other visitors to the house male or female...
