Well, I have just caught up with this and just wanted to say this is great news.

Lyndsey, this is a fabulous site and it seems to have helped you no end. I'm sure you are glad that you joined up and really hope that you stay on and post when you get chances to.

Jester will have a lovely home and a great time with Nic I am sure. Plus the company provided by Smudge means he will have a best bud there for him all the time.

Don't be upset, you did what was best for Jester - it's all worked out. x

i`ve just caught up with this thread-it`s totally blown me away!
from the start i was obvious that it was a very hard choice for lyndsey to make. i`m not gonna go on about it, but i do feel that lyndsey is owed a big appology, the comment by collette was out of order. lets just hope your circumstances dont change, hey hun! if the boot was on the other foot i`m sure you`d have your smile on the other side of your face.
lyndsey, i just want to say this to you, i`m very proud of you for putting jess first, i saw the photos of him with smudge and they both look so happy! i had tears in my eyes reading your posts. i`m so glad it`s worked out for the best. xx
thinking of you, hugs and warm wishes for a lovely xmas and new year for you and your family. xx

Hi there

I am wondering if Jester is still available.
Please can you send me some more information.

If it is not available anymore, I wish you all the best

Many thanks

Alexandra

I hate to have to write this but i am having to rehome my yellow lab Jester. He is a lovely dog really but he is just too much for me. He is 9mnths old and is so boisterous and has taken to putting his paws on my 2yr old shoulders and pushing her over. My 4 yr old is scared of him and i cant walk him with the buggy as he pulls so much and knocks it over.
I took him to puppy classes and he would do it all there but as soon as i get him home he is a different dog.

I cant take any more and my hubby works away so i am on my own.

Please can someone tell me where is a good place to take him in East Anglia i really dont want to do this but i have to, i have asked around but noone i know wants a dog or knows of anyone who wants one.

Hi Alexandra, Jester was rehomed by one of our members a few months ago now, if you look on the start page though you`ll find a link for Labs that need rehoming :D

Welcome to LF by the way :)

I'm so glad this story had such a happy ending :D it must have been so heart braking for you.
when we had our leo he was a very bouncy 11 month old rescue dog,my daughter was 18months old then and very luckily for us they adored each other.he would pull the push chair so i could never walk him with us but luckily we lived next to a park so he ran around there like a mad thing and wore himself out.
pups are so much more hard work than people think.
i also know what its like to be left alone with small children while your husband works away,i have three girls and its very tough some times. i also have family all over the country so no back up like this lady, and unless you are in that position you really can't imagine what its like.
what you did was very brave and its really fabulous that your jester has gone to such a wonderfull home and that you can keep in touch with him.
best of luck with the future,it will get easier :)

Hello I know what you are going through. My wife and I adopted an 18 month chocolate brown labrador rescue dog. When he came to live with us he was a nightmare eating remote controls, mobile phones tearing up books and manymore things. We worked with him and gave him a lot of love and talked to him. He gradually changed into most loving and intelligent animal We had him until he was almost 13 when his back legs started to go he had injections hydro therapy but to no avail and eventually they gave in all together and we had to have to have him put to sleep. The house is like a Morge and we are looking for another little lad to bring us alive again but always seem to be too late and what couldbed our new friend
