Just thought I would post this here for future information if anyone is in the same boat as we are.
Our puppy had his 1st vaccination done by the breeder's vet with Canigen, but our local vet (in fact I have called about 8 now) all use Nobivac. We were told we would have to start again with the different vaccine but would have to wait until 2wks after the date the breeder had him vaccinated. It wasn't the money that bothered me but the thought of keeping him in (or carrying a large wriggly puppy) for an extra 2 weeks to make sure he starts getting socialized.
In desperation I called Virbac and spoke to the veterinary advice line, a lovely man there told me they are exactly the same vaccine, made in the same factory but labelled up with different brand names and so we don't need to start again, we can have his 10wk injection with Nobivac. He gave me his name and told me if my vet was worried to tell them to contact him direct.
We are so relieved, we can't wait to get to the park when his vaccines have taken!
