Wolfwalk is a sponsored dog walk with a wolfish theme to raise funds for Farplace Animal Rescue (www.farplace.org.uk).

We are a no-kill animal rescue based in Weardale, County Durham. We help all sorts of injured, sick, and unwanted animals and run various wildlife projects as well.

This event will take place in Rother Valley Country Park, near Sheffield and Rotherham, on Sunday 4th October 2009, 10am. You can choose between a 3 mile route and a 5 mile route, and your pet wolf will receive a goodie bag and 'Certificate of Wolfdom' on completion. We also have certificates for the 'best dressed granny' (with optional wolf-like features like big eyes and big teeth), the 'person who most looks like their dog' (strictly optional entry!), and the highest sponsorship amount pledged.

We do not charge a registration fee and don't ask for a minimum sponsorship amount. We just ask you to raise as much as you can to help our rescue and rehoming work.

This is fun day out and gives you the chance to meet other local dog walkers and chat to us about the animals we help at Farplace.

For more details and to register for the Wolfwalk, please visit our website:

Also coming up soon is Wolfwalk Gateshead in Saltwell Park, Sunday 27th September 2009, 10am.
