Were staying Nr Fort William and was wondering what there is to do that we can involve the dog as I wouldn't dream of leaving her in the caravan or car and fancy some good sightseeing days out.
Now were just about fit and can walk for a few hours at a time so nothing to strenuous if you know what I mean.

I'd like to go to Ben Nevis but don't know much about it. Is there a cable car etc? Can Shirley go on it? Is it just for harden walkers etc?

ANY suggestions as to doggy friendly days out would be great.

We go next Sat for a week.

My favourite holiday area. 8)

There's all sorts of places. http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fortwilliam/

If you fancy a day out, on the east side of Loch Ness there are some very nice quiet picnic/doggie beaches and Loch Tarff is a must.

An easy walk, great views and good for dogs, is along the Caledonian canal.
There's all sorts of walks around Loch Eil especially on the southern road.
The West Highland Way. http://www.west-highland-way.co.uk/home.asp
Glen Coe.

Google Fort William and Loch Ness.

You are allowed dogs in the gondolas at Aonach Mhor so theres another trip to do.

Theres lots of stuff to do there, one of my fave spots too.

Never been as far north as Ben Nevis, and don't suppose I ever will now. The furthest I've been is Edinburgh.
