There is a long flat beach at Fraisthorpe which dogs can go on, nothing else there apart from an ice cream / burger van, but if you're stuck for a beachy dog walk it's nice

The grassy area at the north end of the north beach at Bridlington (near to Sewerby) is a wide open space and good for dogs. Plenty of room to run about. Also the dog will be allowed on the beach up at that end, although not in the middle bit at this time of year.

Have a brilliant time - hope the weather is good for you.

Sorry, just remembered to say that Dalby Forest is not far away and is great for kids and dogs - lots of walks. You have to pay to get in (not sure how much sorry) but the people I know who have been there with either or both say it is worth it.

You can also take dogs on the beach at the north bay in scarbro and peasholm park is very near there which you can also take dogs in.
Also you can take dogs into Eden Camp near Malton but you can't take them inside the huts so someone has to stand outside while the others go in (we took turns). (Check that it's still ok before you set off) The Dalby Forest has a 'go ape' attraction (don't know how much it is) which has zip slides etc for the kids, the forest is lovely although you do have to pay to go in. I think you can take dogs onto the beach at the primrose valley end of the beach at filey. Dogs can be taken on the North Yorks Moors Railway, which runs from Pickering to Whitby, you can get off at Goathland where they film Heartbeat.
