My lab retriever is showing classic symptoms of trigeminal neuritis. We've had a couple of vet consultations in the past three days because I am beside myself with worry and brokenhearted at the effect it's having on Kassie.
Apparently the condition usually resolves itself in two to three weeks but it's just so difficult watching my girl struggle to eat and drink. And as for the slobbers ...
Has anyone out there had to deal with this.
Any advice and/or encouragement welcome

Kassie is almost nine.
I believe trigeminal neuritis is sometimes called jaw drop.

I didn't realize dogs could suffer from this...so sorry your pup is going through this. Good to know it will likely resolve shortly.
