Can anybody tell me please why Jemima tells Izzy off and not Mocha.
I just took Izzy and Mocha out for a walk- Jemima is in season so she couldnt come along.
I came back through the door and Jemima really grumbled at Izzy and Izzy put her paws on Jemimas head to keep Jemima from jumping up :?
Jemima never told Mocha off at all.
As a rule when running in the forest Jemima and Izzy are always chasing around and Jemima always tells Izzy off. Sometimes she will pin her down and sometimes Mocha joins in- ganging up on poor Izzy.
I have had to tell Jemima and Mocha off for this before.
Why does Jemima do this to Izzy and not Mocha?

I'm only guessing....but I would say it could be that Izzy is vying for the same position of "Power" in the gang and Jemima isn't going to put up with it, so is telling her to get back in line. Mocha probably is already submissive, lower ranking than Jemima, so doesn't need telling.

Thanks Jules- I think Izzy and Jemima have a little power struggle going on :D
Interestingly Izzy is the one that tells other dogs off that we meet (only if male) and Jemima is a push over with them.
