Just over £1,000 last year.
He is 8 now but when he reaches 9 in October, as well as the £70 excess we also have to pay 20% of any claim

That*s more than my car insurance and house insurance put together.
It*s about triple my house and car insurance put together!

Which company are you with Wendy?
M&S June. To be fair, we have claimed a ridiculous amount (around £35,000) but I still think £1500 is OTT

I was with M&S but when they wanted over £50 a year for each of my dogs I told them to stick it and moved somewhere else. I know for you that is not an option but I would think that you would be better off putting money aside in a savings account wouldn*t you ? Would it be worth asking around how much if you did not include any of previous ailments ?

It is crazy as the max that you would ever likely to claim over a year would be far less than you are likely to have to claim on house or car insurance!

Good luck
