Cristina,

These are great, totally accurate summing up of life with a lab. We have just bought an estate car to take the dog out in

Paul - speaking of fires, we have had to stop using the calor gas heater in the kitchen as Brady singed his fur sitting so close to it  :eek:nfire:

Hi Kezza, I know what you mean - We used to have a Mondeo estate for just me and my wife and Shadow. You could tell people would think "Why do they need such a big car"!

Hi Kezza & Paul,

I know what you mean we had a Escort, but with a bit of arm twisting and having to drag the other half to the show room we've ended up with a new Ford Galaxy! Nothing like air con to keep doggies cool!! :D

Hi Cristina - know what you mean about air con. The mondeo estate was the first car that we had with it and i wouldn't be without it now. We changed 2 years ago to a Focus hatch, which is fine for Shadow now (with the parcel shelf removed, obviously!) but with him not getting any younger, we're thinking about either a Volvo V40 or V70 - more space and a lower lip for him to get up to_Oh yes, it must have air con too 8)

Hi Paul,

You should have cut a hole in the parcel shelf for his head to stick through!! j/k We have got a folding doggie ramp for the car as Ben has a bad leg and he is sssooooooo heavy to lift! 8O

Wow Fay, you're other half must be keen, to sell his bike!

Cristina - I hadn't thought of cutting a hole - who needs a nodding churchill dog on the parcel shelf?! Are the ramps any good - I've seen them advertised in different publications and wondered if Shadow would use it?

Hi Paul,

Yes the ramps are really good, it took a while for him to get used to it but now he sits there waiting untill I put the ramp down for him and won't move until it is there! 8O  I can just see the nodding labrador now!!

Hi Fay,

You poor other half! At least now if he puts his foot down harvey won't look like a garfield stuck to the back window! We had a Vectra for a while, it was a nice car.

Harvey will still look like a garfield stuck to the window then! 8O  And I'm sorry to say it Fay, I don't think I would have switched either!!

Hi Everyone!

I've just read the rules and had to reply.

Alarm clock - I haven't set one since Rufus came!

Bigger car - Yeap we are looking at changing ours and the Clio is far to small for him and he will have out grown the Golf soon!

Squeaky Toys - The squeak has gone out of them all. Except the really annoying high pitched chicken leg! I HATE THAT ONE AND HE KNOWS!

Missing items outside - I found one of my slippers outside yesterday. Covered in mud and doggy slobber!

I could go on and on but i won't. So i've sent it to Steve (my other half) for a giggle.

Rach & Rufus :D
