Obviously your first port of call is your vet. Rimadyl is a very powerful NSAID and can have VERY serious side effects including internal bleeding AND WORSE! If your puppy takes it well then the chances are there will be no side effects but if not then it could be serious. How much of an overdoes it is of course depends on the weight of your pup.

Thanks John, it’s been over 3 hours now and he’s eaten his dinner since And gone to toilet which looked good. He seems bright and alert so hoping he didn’t get all of it. By the way he’s 15 weeks old and weighs 10.5kg.

Recommended dose, 2 to 4 mg per Kg, so he's had roughly double the max recommended dose. Obviously the manufacturers err a little on the safe side, but keep a close eye on him, and particularly on his motions. It's too early yet to tell anything, any stools at this point would already have been passing through his intestines so would not have been affected by the dose. Look out for black tarry looking stools, a sign of blood in the stools from internal bleeding.

Thanks John, everything seems ok and this morning he is full of fun. Need to be more careful in the future.
