Firstly, thanks to all the replies to my other posts - all very useful as we get used to having a lab puppy in our lives!

Holly, who is a bit over 12 weeks, is now having short walks down the street and back but has only pee'd once in the street.

She has been great whilst confirmed to the house and garden, very few accidents inside and usually lets us know when she needs out to the garden.

I have tried to coincide her walks with when she usually needs to go to the toilet (first thing in the morning and after dinner) but so far, she enjoys her walk and when home, rushes to the back door to get into the garden to kill more of my grass!

Are there any tips on how to teach her that its okay to pee when in the street?

Personally I don't want my dogs toileting when out, but I do teach a command, "Be quick" so that could be used wherever you want your dog to go. Simply, whenever I see my pup going I say "Be quick" in an excited voice, and lots of praise when finished, and they soon cotton on.
