It's that time of year again when the best fun doggy event of the year comes to Kent.

Padfoot Pets has a large stand at the event and in return for free entry we wondered if anyone would like to help out over the weekend?

The main days for help would be the Friday (11th) which is the main setting up and putting out all the stock day - You'll get a chance to see all the other trade stands before anyone else and watch most of the displays practice thier routines.

Emma (Miss J) has kindly offered to help us out on the Saturday but we wondered if anyone else would like to help?

We also need help on the Sunday - this may be the busiest day work wise as we would need help breaking down the stand at the end of the show (this is usually from 5pm onwards).

Your free entry would be by way of a trade wristband and you would have to enter through the trade entrance rather than the main gate.
We would arrange to meet you at the gate to ensure safe passage

The work involed would be selling to the general public (likeminded doggy people) and some lifting (on breakdown day).

You are welcome to bring your woofs but they will need to be tied up away from the stand (we will have a caravan on the stand so they can stay close to that with my Fidgit) whilst you are on the stand.

Tea and coffee will be provided on tap and you never know we may even stretch to a burger

We ideally are only looking for one extra person for each of the days just to help out and give Karen and I a break (Your feet will hurt like hell!!).

If you think you can help out please feel free to pm me.

Here's the link for Paws in the Park if you need it.

Lesley, Would have loved to help, but Friday would be impossible. I do want to come though on Saturday, but where is Paws in the Park???

I really want to get Moll & Tig new collars, and I will have been paid again by September (hopefully  )

Thanks

Hi Sharon, thanks for the offer.
It's the Friday or Sunday that we ideally need the help as Emma (MissJ) has already offered for the Saturday.

Paws in the Park is being held at the Hop Farm in Paddock Wood (Nr Tonbride) on the 12-13 September.

If you want more info please give me call

We and Marley have had a lovely time at Paws in the Park this morning and it was great to meet Lesley and buy Marley a lovely new dingo collar and lead!!

Marley had enough socialising to last him a liftime, from little fluffy things who were dyed pink and had sequins stuck to their ears to match their pink pushchair (!) to huge Burmese Mountain Dogs.

Loads of adult labs but not so many puppies so a huge amount of human fuss made of Marley too.

I have to say I was very impressed by two little girls aged about 5 and 7 who were there with their Dad and no dog. The youngest one came up to me and asked if she may stroke Marley, asked his name, then thanked me for letting her pet him, called out "Bye Marley" and off she went. A great dog owner of the future!!

Looking forward to next year when Marley might like to take part in the water activities!

Molly and I also had a lovely day at Paws in the Park. Met Lesley and Karen on their stall, bought lots of lovely foodie treats for Mol & Tig (Tig couldnt come because she is in season) :(
Will probably get it in the ear from OH as spent an absolute fortune on doggie bits - new collars, leads, bed and toys 8O 8O :D
Molly got her first ever certificate ( I say 'got' not 'won') for completing the 100 meter hurdles in 14.63 seconds :D :D I didn't even think she would do it as I had to send her after a lure, I thought she would just sit and look at me, or come back when she realised she had to jump 8O She did have son and soon to be DIL at other end, but could not see or hear them until she got closer, and behind her were lots of exciting doggies who were barking and jumping around (and OMG fighting) waiting for their turn.
I was so pleased with her, I was more excited than those who got good times :D :D
Mol also had a go at the scurry, not overly successful, but she was getting the hang of what to do.
Would have loved her to have a go at the agility, but she is only just 10 months and cant do it until she is 1 year
Loved it so much I am going back today, without dogs, to help out on Padfoot pets stall.

Cant wait till next year when I can take both doggies and maybe have a g on the aquazone :D

Karen and I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Sharon who gave up her time on Sunday to come and help us out at Paws in the Park.

It was lovely to see so many LF'ers at the event - we hope you all enjoyed your time there as much as we did.
Once our feet have stopped hurting and we've sorted all the stock out I'm sure we will look back on the weekend and smile lol

Sharon - don't forget we've already 'booked' you for next year :D :D :D
