We are absolutely delighted with Isla's performance today. She was a last minute substitution for Charlie (Lowforge Aurora) who came into season on Wednesday.
The last couple of outings with Isla have been very frustrating, she undoubtedly has the ability, and today put in a very consistent performance. The first three places were decided by a three dog run off. It's worth noting (to us at least) that the other two dogs in the run off are both seven years old and have both previously qualified for the IGL Retriever Championships.
It was a 31 dog test, a cut was made and 16 dogs were taken through, there was no second cut, just a three dog run off.
