I think Milo is developing the old arthur rightus!
His right elbow feels a little puffy and after his walks in the woods yesterday and today, he can hardly put weight on it after resting.

I'm going to ring the vet tomorrow to get some anti inflammatries to hopefully help him.
He needs to be right for our Christmas GT at Melton on Saturday!! :?

Make sure he makes the 2nd GT as Toby is at that 1 and not at the 1st, yes admittedly this is selfish, but Toby wants to see Milo at the 2nd party.

joking aside, really hope Milo is ok and his limp is a minor issue and this won't end his wallowing days.

If his elbow is actually puffy and hot feeling then these are symptoms I was told to watch out for by Luna's specialist as it can mean that there is infection in the joint needing antibiotics asap.

Get him checked over by the vet tomorrow as it sounds very painful if he isn't wanting to weight bear on it at all. I've not yet <touch wood> had Luna not weight bear because of her arthritis.

Sending lots of get well soon vibes to Milo and hoping that it's not a serious problem. Definitely rest him up and you can always bring him to the pub and skip the walking/swimming bit. I'm not sure Luna's going to be able to cope with the full activity of the GT...

He's going in on Thurs for Xrays To diagnose.
Looks like he may have to visit Uncle Graham!!

He's really struggling at the mo! I'm getting impatient for the Metacam to kick in!!

Not the end of the world... don't panic!!

Give him HUGE licks and hugs from all 3 of us here and we send you huge licks and hugs too. It is horrid to see them limp heavily... horrid. If the Metacam doesn't 'kick in' then maybe they'd give him tramadol to take alongside? It defo helped Loon when she was really bad.

Fingers crossed that the xrays show something that can be fixed easily. Is he having them done at EMR or Buckley House? He will be in the best of hands xxx

Thanks guys!
Laura he's having them done at Buckley House. I think if they need to do anything then I think/hope they'll send us to EMR. It's good to feel that he'll bee in the best hands. I'm so lucky to have a good practice so close!

He's not limping as bad this morning and I only took him for a very short lead walk this morning. He was ok with his hobble but every now and again he sort of stumbled as it must've hurt him.

I just wish I could take his pain away for him!

Sorry to read about poor Milo. It's a huge positive through that you have a good vets practice and that hey can get his treatment plan in place quickly.
Good luck for Thursday, I so hope that when th X-rays come back its just a pulled muscle or tendon or a temporary injury.

Well today Milo goes for his X-rays!
I'm dropping him off on my way to work. I've got to have him Nil By Mouth and I'm having trouble explaining it to him! He keeps asking for his breakfast which is not good for his elbow because he jumps up and down at me!

I've got an ache in the pit of my stomach worrying about what they find! I'm more worried than when I had my recent op!! Is that daft?

Please can we have some good luck/get well vibes from you wonderful people?
