How's about starting up our very own guide to owning a labrador. :D

Whatever tips you may have, add them here - i'm sure someone will appreciate them. :wink:

2. Give your lab lots of cuddles!

Human touch is so important and helps to form that wonderful bond - always makes me feel better too! Also make sure that they are happy with you 'examining them' e.g. touching their tails, face, paws etc so that they are able to cope better at the vets etc.

no. 11 Have arms like an octopus when putting out washing. 2 to put it out and lots to stop your Lab spreading the reast around the garden.

Buy (or leave up) the stairgate if you want a dog free bedroom. They work out stairs much quicker than you think.

15. read up as much as you can about dog psychology and calming signals as you can. understanding them is one of the first rules of co habitation!

buy a good pair of wellies and water proof jacket for those lovely walks in the rain, snow, hail etc etc. :wink:
