Hello,

I am trying to find a labrador line which contains a female lab called Lisowen Dawn. Her mother was Birdrowe Maxime.

These labs are related to two of mine now sadly passed away after a long and happy life and I would like to get replacement puppies as close to their original line as possible. Drakeshead Bess was further back in his line.

If anyone knows of any Settador dogs still around (from a kennel in North Wales which has now closed) I would be very happy to know about those as well.

Regards,
Karen

John Weller will be able to tell you more, but her pedigree goes back to lots of well known field trialling/working lines. He'll be on later I should think.

Lisowen Dawn's grandsire was Billy Steel's Rod Wallace of Leadburn, a personal favourite of mine.

Just in case anybody things a Settador is a crossbreed, it's actually an affix! Settador Drummer is out of Drakeshead Bess, and by Willowyck Henman ;)

You wont find anything by Lisowen Dawn now, she will be 9 years old next month. But she produced 3 litters, 2 litters using Stardrome Mako At Tudorcourt and one using the Irish dog, Glenanne Widgeon. So it could be worth contacting Phil Hopper at Tudorcourt to see if he knows if anybody had bred from either litter. Another possibility would be to look for a litter with Rod Wallace in the pedigree.

Regards, John

PS, my Amy is related to Rod Wallace. His sire, Craighorn Bracken was my Amy's grandsire.
