We've been to this particular cottage in Hartsop for the last 3 years.

You can go on lots of walks from the cottage and is a 5 minute walk from Brothers Water and the local pub. The garden is well fenced and dog proof - unless your dog feels the need to jump the sheep fencing.

We're booked in for a week in September and will be taking both our Labs. Even though it says "one well behaved dog" they will accept two if you let them know.

Perfect in the Lakes...

We always use Lakelovers when we go away with our Lab-x Marley-Bob. They have loads of all different sizes, which is handy when it's just the two of us, or with the 3 kids, or when nanna and grandad and great grandma come too.

One of our favourites is Gunpowder Cottage, in Elterwater. It's a great little village for dog walking!

Here's their Dog Friendly Cottages page. It was over 120 pet properties available last time we stayed, but it may have more now: https://www.lakelovers.co.uk/dog-friendly-cottages/

Hope that helps :)
