Here's my new puppy, Kia, 12 weeks old, 5kgs. Her mother was a labrador but when I got her they were unsure of what cross she is, they thought it was most likely German Shepherd but I don't think she is big enough for one of those. What do you think? Her ears are different from a Lab's but she still has that cute face!

Also is 5kg at 12 weeks usual or two small for a lab??

Hi Katelyn
She certainly has the colour of a Labrador, but her ears look pinned back and her nose is what I would call snippey not the soft mouth that a Labrador should have. It is diffucult to tell by her weight, I would think a GSD puppy cross Lab would weigh more than 5 Kilos and usually a Lab puppy of that age would weigh more .
It could be that they have not been reared as well as they could, but unless one knows the details it is very difficult to comment. Good luck I am sure you will still have a wonderful friend Meg
