My 17 week old lab bella or bella roo as i call her, Jumps very high especially when I am doing her food she jumps like a kangaroo to get to her food as i am putting her food in it is there a way i can try and stoip her from doing this, i am concerned she may hurt herself

Teach Roo to sit while your preparing her food and also to sit and wait while you place it on the floor, then give her permission to eat it, you have to be firm, if she won`t sit you don`t do the food, same if she won`t wait while you put it down, she doesn`t get it til she is :)

Training... make her sit and stay until you are ready to feed her... if she doesn't sit and stay she doesn't get the food - simples :wink: :lol:

The other solution is to put her in another room while you prepare the foods, but I would go with my first suggestion... it's something I make all my dogs do to improve their manners... they sit nicely before being fed or receiving a treat.
