Hi my name is milo and i have two labby's, one goldern/yellow, and one black, the yellow one is olny 7 weeks and 3 day's old and my black lab is 8 years old and they are both great friend's!!
I have a slight problem with my puppy, and that is when you play with Lucky(My puppy) he start's to bite me and when i say no he keeps on doing it. Does anyone have any ideas for him to stop biting me and my older dog? :D

Hi there,

I am not sure how you would stop Lucky from biting. I have a 12 week old puppy & he is the same. Also had a black lab puppy not too long ago & he was the same. Don't remember doing anything in particular except telling him no & not paying attention to him. Pulling away etc...

Can't remember it happening but I know he must have stopped @ some time. It might just be a puppy thing...But hey, I am no expert. Still trying to get to grips with having a puppy in the house again. :D

Hope it goes ok for you...

What we were told to do with Bradley and which really works well is to yelp like an injured puppy if he tries to bite you. He suddenly looks really guilty and lets us go immediately. It feels a bit stupid doing it but it does work :)

Jack was an 88 pound intact young male when he came to live with us in September 2001. He would mouth and play bite. I read in a book that suggested to gently but firmy make a fist and shove it toward the back of the dog's mouth and saying NO BITE in a firm, low voice. When I read this I first thought There is no WAY I will put the rest of my hand into the mouth of my 88 pound land shark but I did try it and it worked. Little puppies are much smaller than land sharks. Do be careful, gentle and try this only as a last resort.
