I really REALLY need Vegas to meet a heap of new dogs and play with them - he was beaten up by a JRT this morning and has come away quite damaged, so I could really do with upping his confidence ASAP with some dogs who I can trust not to rip chunks of flesh off his face like the evil little beggar this morning did. He's only met one other "unknown" dog since the incident this morning, and he cowered behind my legs when it came over to us :( So sad :( I don't want this to be a big thing for him so I need to have him meeting more trustworthy dogs ASAP so I can snap him out of this childish "cowering behind mum" behaviour - he's never been one to cower so I won't let that behaviour last long! :)

Can anyone (the more the better) do me a favour and spare me an hour or so this weekend?

Many thanks!!!

I have a simlar problem, Ruy is VERY nervous around other dogs, i dont know anyone who owns a friendly dog that is local, and all the dogs she meets out either want to hump her head, growl at her or are rats on leads being carried because their owner dosent want to gets its feet wet

Shame we dont live closer to each other as Ruby could do with the socialisation!

I sure am! I only have to go to the Laundromat to dry the copious amounts of washing I am doing today :) Are you down this way?

Morning Ness

Yes I am down south at the moment just outside Gloucester, if you don't mind meeting half way or something could probably meet up with you in the morning with Rouble for a walk.

Ness just got your PM. Poor little Vegas he was so bold to start with I can't believe this has happened. Although we have had a couple of instances recently where other dog's have bullied Rufus. It always seems to be when there are more than one.

I am free Sunday but early afternoon would be best as we are having a bit of a do on Saturday night and I may have a hangover.

Would love to see you.

Yvonne

PS We've had no more wildlife incidents. He's been good as gold even coming back from deer when I've called him.

PPS happy New Year

Yay that Rufus has not been hunting again :D I wouldn't want him teaching my boys bad habits on Sunday :)
Have PM'd you RE Sunday, sounds good to me!
Have been on a few mini-GTs with mates, one on Thurs and one yesterday, and he's been pretty good, still quite nervous when he hears barking/growling though... he seems to understand the difference between playflighting (which he's fine with) and proper growling (which worries him) but that's actually a good thing - I like that he can differentiate and keeps his distance when they "mean it" if that makes sense.

Anyway, see you Sunday arvo!!
