I've just spent a few days visiting my sister in Somerset. It was great socialisation for Molly as my sister has young grandchildren who are confident with dogs, and I was so pleased how quickly Molly learnt to play nicely with them. She also met horses (no reaction), cows (she ran up to them barking, so I had to grab her quickly) and my sister's chickens. Molly didn't bark, but was very interested (ears pricked, body alert) - I'm sure she thought it was 'pick-your-own-supper'. (My last Lab was safe with free-range chickens, but he also didn't chase rabbits.)
Looking back to how Molly howled in the car for the first 2 or 3 weeks, I can't believe that I was able to take her for a 4 hour road trip (albeit with several stops along the way).
