Can anyone tell me when pups should have their first injection? And, how soon have you all weaned your pups onto puppy food? Just trying my 5week old on puppy food now and he's hit and miss as to whether he wants to eat it or have mum instead. Is this normal?

Corbie had his first injection at 7 weeks and again at 10 weeks, but some do 8 and 12 weeks, it varies depending on what your vet does.

No sure about the feeding situation, but I'm sure one of the forum members will be able to help you on that.

Hi

Our vets do vaccinations from 6 weeks I think it varies from vet to vet. Buster was 8 weeks when he had his first vaccination.

Try giving your puppy Sherley's Lactol, it's a milk food specially formulated for puppies as a weaning aid.

Your vet should advise you as it varies depending on the vet and the vaccine used. 5 weeks is early to leave the litter or is this a litter you have bred yourself?
