Hi

Last year my friend had a major stress related crash resulting in a week in hospital. The police forced entry and the poor lab was 'rescued'. He was with my friend's daughter that same day but we are worried about his 'mental' health now.

Since then he displays awful anxiety related behaviours -

Barking at the bottom of the stairs all through the night which makes everyone anxious.

The question is - is there anything we can do to help this painful situation for the lovely 9 year old hound? He is in good working order and is well looked after now. The incident was last August and now we are in March.

I'm surprised this is continuing over 6 months after the event. I think under the circumstances I would be reluctant to use sedatives, but maybe an Adaptil Deffuser might help?

Cheers dude. We've gone for the drugs first - serene-um xtra (calming tablets for pooches - not sedatives hopefully). It produces serotonin for the hounds.

We're on a budget and turned down the diffuser.

Could be a false economy ......
