Off to Devon with dogs in May. We are familiar with human friendly places as have been going for few years in the summer with the kids but not sure where best places are to take the dogs. I don't really like 'parks' and prefer places away from main roads! Beaches, forests and plenty of chance to be off lead is good for us rather than pounding the streets on the lead.

I know there are a few LFers down that way who might be able to give me some inside info.

Thanks in advance.

Dartmoor is 365 square miles of moorland, dog friendly but look out for livestock that roams the moor. Princetown has a couple nice pubs and good routes nearby.

We did Devon a couple of years back - lovely part of the country

Stayed in Lostwitheil (SP) and plenty of DF areas and pubs and eating gaffs there and in surrounding areas.

The Dog Friendly website has some good info

Enjoy!
