Hi!

Looking for a dog friendly beach to take Harry for his first trip to the seaside this week!
We live near Oxford, so probably looking at dorset, hampshire, west sussex, essex and suffolk at a push.
Any ideas gratefully recieved - 'Googling' it doesn't seem to be helping much!

Thanks

Katherine and Harry

Hi Katherine , The problem is many beaches don't allow dogs in summer..Bournemouth ,Swanage etc...but West Wittering is a lovely beach near Chichester West Sussex....v sandy & dog friendly although some restrictions on small parts in summer. It's a highly rated blue flag beach...I think even listed as one of the best in the country.
Goring by sea to Ferring is a fab walk. You can park at the Sea Lane cafe (dogs allowed inside) and walk along to the Bluebird cafe (also allow dogs inside) or you can park at the Bluebird and walk the other way..... or walk from the Blue bird to East Preston...also a lovely walk. The beach is pebbly when the tide is in but lovely and quiet and you can walk for miles on the beach when the tide is out. Both cafes are very popular and the food good. Hope you find something....by the way the weather is fantastic down here at the mo :D :D
