Hi, all. As some of you know Sam has been really ill lately, he was
in the vets over night a couple of weeks ago, he had stopped eating
and drinking and was looking very sorry for himself. The vet told us
that when they took a x ray they found a shadow in his abdoman and
could not be sure what it was. However he picked up and came home
and has been fine since.
Friday he stopped eating and drinking again, took him back to vets
today. They took somemore blood and have just called to say they
have put him on the list for surgery tomorrow as the blood test has
come back again showing very high calcuim levels. Does anybody on
here have any clue what this could be? I am so worried about him, I
love this dog so much.

Also could we please have lots of your very famous healing vibes.

Thank you all very much Carol.

Interesting article Kate. As many of you know, my Anna was diagnosed with Cushing's disease, but when originally running tests to deturmine what was wrong with her it was found that she had high calcium levels. I note the article mentions the ACTH as one of the tests which may be needed, and in Anna's case this was what provided the Cushing's answer.

It is not the only possibility answer though so it's important to follow it through.

Regards, John

Loads of vibes for Sam, and I hope they have a successful surgery tomorrow and figure out what is going on with him.
Huge reassuring hugs to you too, it must be very quiet in the house without him!
