Hi - I did post something similar to this on the old site. I need advice on what size of crate is best for a puppy. We need one for short periods of time for indoors, and would like one that could be grown into (to around 6 months). We are also having a kennel and run built outside for when we are out. I want to get a crate with dividers so it can be altered as the pup grows.

For the majority of the time the pup will be inside with us - we just want all corners covered.

What sort of size should I go for?

thanks

Jodie

Corbie had a 30" one to start with (luckily we were only borrowing this) but had outgrown that by around 4 months old. He now has a 48" crate (the biggest size) and is 6 months old and that give him enough room to lay down fully, etc.

Hi,

You can get partitions made for large crates so that you can down size them while they are small and gradually make them bigger as they grow, this is what I used with my 48" crate.

I think you are better starting with the larger one and dividing it off. This saves you buying two.
