hi

Im just find trying to find out the average cost of ligament surgery my dog is booked into see a specialist on Monday

A TPLO operation (which is what*s commonly done to repair a Cruciate injury) is around £2500-£3000 at my vets, if the specialist does the surgery.

Hes insured but they will only pay out a maximum of 1500 for ligaments damage


so looks like a dip into the saving .........but hes worth it

It does vary from area to area. I don*t know where you live but I*m in the expensive South East, so we probably pay Top Whack here. If in doubt, ask the practise before going ahead. At least then you won*t get such a shock when you get the bill.

He is booked into Torrington Orthopaedics near huddlesfield

update

Sorry havent been on for last few days


Max had his op today which went really well so hopefully will be able to pick him up from bupa for dogs tomorrow
