So sad, but so well acted. Just loved Roy and Hayley, we'll miss her :(

I have heard of so many cases of pancreatic cancer recently, an ex work colleague died of it 3 weeks ago, my current work colleague's father and someone else I work with who lost her dad to the same thing a few years ago. Not forgetting Patrick Swayze of course. Is it becoming more common?

Yes, it was great acting and excellent writing, the next few weeks are going to be very sad as Roy tries to deal with his loss.

I'm still shocked that Julie Hesmondhalgh is only 43 though - that makes me feel really old now, Hayley always appeared to be older than that.

Hayley's death was quite a controversial subject but very sensitively written. We don't let our animals suffer in the way we do humans and I think it raises a very important issue.
