We have recently discovered that Jess our 10 month old lab has chipped a part of her left canine. Its very rough to the touch and Gordon and I were wondering if the tooth will start to rot. She isn't having any bother eating.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Hi Lynne,

If Jess isn't in any pain, or it doesn't stop her from eating then i wouldn't be too worried, you might however like to mention it to your vet the next time you visit, just incase they think Jess needs some dental work. I would keep any eye on it, and check her gums regularly to make sure they are not inflammed or anything. I wouldn't imagine it would rot though, what does everyone else think?

Here are a couple of useful links:

She doesn't seems to be in any pain and her gums look fine so fingers crossed it's ok.
