Hi All

Does anyone have any training tips on teaching how to ignore cats and squirrels?

In the last couple of months Mabel has started to really pay an interest to the point she seems to be on the hunt for cats during our neighbourhood walks. I've tried rewarding her for the odd time she walks past a garden that has a cat in it, tried using her (usually very good) leave it command but its not really going anywhere fast.

At home if she catches something moving out of the corner of her eye through the patio door she charges to the door and either barks, whines or changes from a lab to a pointer!

My worry is the more she gets used to it, the more it becomes a learned behaviour.

Thanks in advance!

We have the same problem with Stanley and cats. He’s very reactive around them. I’d be interested to hear what training can be done to help us all with this.
