Hi There,

We have just received through our KC certificate.

My partner wanted the full blown generation one!

On looking at it I'm a bit worried. It appears that our Bailey's father was produced by two dogs who had the same parents?

Is that right? Or is that in-breeding? 8O Perhaps I don't understand the breeding rules. Can someone fill me in? I don't want to contact the Kennel Club and look stupid!

Luckily he's a great puppy - very laid back and good natured and we wouldn't swap him for the world!

It would sound from the way you describe that the sire is very closely bred. Not good but maybe not a disaster as long as the bitch line is well separated from the dog line, so bringing fresh genes into the equation.

Regards, John
