Alfie has been scrumping blackberries while out walking and now he has little bumps on his face and paws

Just wondered if anyone knew the best way to get bramble thorns out and how to treat the area.

Thanks

If he has got the thorns imbedded in his skin, then draw them out following the natural curve, rather than just tugging them. I'd give the area a quick wash over with some salty water afterwards, just to clean any wounds.

Nasty spiky things brambles....but such yummy fruits.

Thanks for the reply Jules.

I tried to get them with tweezers but they were so tiny. The vet advised us to give him piriton as the bumps might just be an allergic reaction. Also warm salty water to bathe his legs.
