Our lab loves a good old chew and previously to diet would always have a bone and alsorts. Due to diet these have all cut back and are given very rarely, last week he had a huge dinosaur bone (only let him half half) and his stool for 3/4days after was like dust ? Even after adding ex water and topper to his meals: my question in what healthy alternitives can I provide he chews through Parma ham bones etc in minutes ? So needs to be hard wearing. Thanks in advance

Personally I cant answer that. I've not fed bones for over 40 years. Not since reading an article by Wendy Boorer about bones wearing the enamel on dogs teeth leading possibly to tooth decay.

Too much bone in their diet does cause chalky, crumbly poop! What about hooves, mine sometimes get them as a treat to chew?
