Lovely news and probably for the best if your friend is into the outdoors as a cocker would be a more robust woodland type walker. Line of the teachers at our school has a miniature apricot poodle that he carries around, and he is a huge bloke 8O

Some of these rehoming centres take things to the extreme. The local one to us is not nice. She is only interested if you are giving money and has refused many good homes for daft reasons and the people have simply gone on to buy a pup instead and the dog has had a great life. I know rehomers have to be careful but a bit of common sense would get many more animals new homes.

Met Bella this morning and she is a serious sweetie! I am in love!

So glad she found a home, apparently the people were also advertising her on Preloved which was why the rescue was so keen to have her go to a person they had approved and home-checked. She has been on rubbish food and had it changed too often, so her tummy is not at its best - as we discovered when we took her into Pets at Home.

They had never played with her! Because 'they couldn't get down on the floor to pick up a ball'

Anyway, she has found a smashing home and my friend is delighted with her. She says she reminds her of her old goldie because Bella is a 'talker' so she makes all these little noises as she wanders around. Not barking, but just telling people what she is thinking. Cadbury is the same. I think gundogs like to give people a running commentary of everything they are doing!
"Well, it is Cadbury...."
