For those of you who remember our recent panic when a new arrival went on a bit of an adventure as she arrived at her foster home (and anyone else who's interested), Sandy is now ready to find her forever home. You can find more photos/info/adoption policies/contact details here:
I think she is LOVELY :love7:
Sandy is 11 years young and is being fostered for Oldies Club in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester.
Thankfully, after her little adventure, she has settled into her foster home well and loves snuggling up for a cuddle. She took around a week to settle in and likes to take her time getting to know new people, after which she will be your new best friend. She is a fit girl and enjoys long on-lead walks. Sandy needs a home with a secure garden to relax in and her new family MUST be very careful about opening the front door etc as she is fast and wriggly. She will go to her new home with a custom made harness to help keep her safe while out and about.
Sandy is currently in foster with 4 dogs of all ages and there have been no problems. She would be happy to share her forever home with another dog(s), but she doesn't like flat-faced dogs such as Boxers and British Bulldogs, so can not be rehomed with these. She hasn't lived with cats before.
Sandy should be fine to live with older, dog-savvy children who are respectful of an older dog, provided her escapology tendencies can be well-managed.
As you can see from some of the photos, Sandy loves to be out and about with her foster family. She adores cuddles and would happily snuggle all day.
She would suit an active person who enjoys long walks. Sandy must travel in a crate in the car. Her fosterer attaches a long line to Sandy and leaves some of it out of the crate door so she can hold onto her before opening the crate.
Sandy can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a successful home visit, as long as the potential adopter is happy to travel to meet Sandy in her foster home :-) Please see Sandy's page for full info, contact details, adoption policies etc.:
