Great news for Barney, he looks so nice, but what a long time to be in Rescue. I hope he and his owners have a fun filled life ahead.

It's great news for him and sadly having to wait several years in rescue is fairly common. Quite a number of dogs wait much longer than that. My own collie waited two years, but he's been with us in his forever home for nearly ten years now. It's why I will always encourage people to consider adopting their next dog from rescue.
