Travelling with Pet

Hey,

I am planning for road trip with my dog Bruno, can anyone let me know which pet monitor is good for saving my dog from this heat.

Thanks,
Arivu. A

So you aren't in the UK!

I've got a digital thermometer attached by rubber band to the dogs' crate in the car so I can keep an eye on what temperature they are in but that's as pet monitor technical as I get I'm afraid!

I do not even have that. If I get hot I figure the dogs are hot so I open the window. Never even heard of pet monitors. Here in the UK umbrellas are a more useful piece of equipment although in some parts of the US I imagine they could be useful.

Regards, John

PS. For those in the UK, I understand that summer this year will be on the 27th of July, with winter starting on the 28th.

You need to splash out on a bit of luxury for your dogs John, modern cars come with air conditioning these days!

My Landrover had "Climate Control" Phil, The climate controlled what you got. When it rained you got wet and when it was cold you froze. But having sold that my truck, a Mitsubishi L200 is completely different. Absolutely lovely in winter, but as the heater controls are jammed on full heat, a might warm in winter. My car is a 21 year old Volvo 940 and has the luxury of a fully working heater AND electric windows!!!!! So why splash the cash??

John :)

I remember those landrovers with the flaps that folded down at the front just exposing you to the elements! Great on a hot summers day, but leaky and cold all winter! Defenders were and probably still are the best off roader going but Landrover have gone all posh these days!

L200's are good in the mud, but a little too blingy for my taste. But with 4 picker's up and 6 or 7 dogs my short wheelbase Landrover 90 was a little too small. But I have to say, I do prefer my old Landy to my glitzy L200.

John :)
