I used to cook for mine - steamed white fish and plain mashed potato is the favourite of one and yoghurt/rice pudding for the other. I used to batch cook and freeze in portions so that I could pop them in the microwave for easy mealtimes. Mine actually eat tinned chappie now and adore it but plenty of people do cook for their dogs all of the time, chicken & rice, scrambled egg, fish and potato - herring/salmon/cod etc, some people use tapioca, sweet potato, quinoa. Lots of people cook tuna cake and liver cake to use as treats. The main thing to be careful of is which human foods are poisonous to dogs for example onions, raisins, chocolate so ensure you check, the dogs trust have a handy list and I think there is one on here somewhere. I will leave it to those who are still home-cooking to give you further advice
