Does anyone use them and what do your dogs think of them?

I'm needing to replace Bracken's plastic bed, he's driving us nuts night times with his nesting, I really don't think he's very comfortable in it. You can imagine how noisy his claws are scratching on the plastic in the middle of the night when he decides to rearrange the vetbed as it's not to his liking. Wouldn't mind if it was just a quick fluff up the bed and lay back down but he goes on and on and on until Hubby shouts at him.

I think he may like a raised bed and they seem to have good reviews.....

If he likes nesting would he be better with a soft donut type bed? I know my two like to have sides to curl up against. I quite like the Pets at Home 3 peaks beds and the mattresses from the same range.

But I'm too tight to risk chewing episodes with my two so they can stick with the hard plastic ones with a folded up duvet inside a pillow case and a piece of vet bed.

I've thought many times over the past 7 years that I could get rid of our plastic bed but Luna loves it.
I cover the plastic with a fleecy blanket and then she has a memory foam mattress in there nowadays.
Very, very occasionally I find Tucker in there, looking like he is going to be told off! I actually have the feeling that I could get 2 plastic beds and they'd be used!
Here it is:

That's a Griffin pose Laura. I have two hard beds in the kitchen where they sleep at night and if I am out. I just have one in the lounge and they take turns in it. It looks a bit small for Griffin but he spends most of his time curled up really tightly anyway.

Thanks for all the input, I'm going to do a little more research before splashing out.:)

I think poor old Bracken may be getting a little achey overnight in his hard plastic bed so needs something softer and a bit more supportive. I shall have a look into all your suggestions. Love all your photos BTW.

Dileas has a Tufty bed in the kitchen, one with a waterproof cover, it's like a giant cushion! I put vet bed on the top. She loves the bed and takes herself to it during the day/night instead of the sofa. Especially when the sun is shining through the kitchen window as it hit's her bed!

I'm looking at a hik9 bed for Cola, can I ask if you bought one in the end?

They do look very sturdy and I am thinking she would be less likely to wreck one as she seems to have a thing for cushion beds ;)

Hi, Yes I did buy one and I'm very pleased with it. They're very well made, sturdy and so easy to clean, it's still like new even with 2 dogs bouncing around on it several times a day. Both dogs love it, although Bracken still insists on sleeping in his plastic bed over night , still, leaves Lucan plenty of room to spread out.:)

I'm looking to buy one for Colas 1st birthday, not that she knows it's her birthday! What size did you go for? :) was also looking at the fleece cover but thinking her standard vet bed would probably be fine:) I'm looking at the mesh ones and also thinking of getting the rubber feet for it.

I went for a large with the canvas cover, both dogs can sleep on it curled up, or one can spread out with plenty of room.

I just chuck one of my many pieces of vetbed on top, they seem to stay in place most of the time.:)

So far only the cosy sleeve has arrived, the bed has just today been desptached from Petplanet so hopefully not too much longer to wait.
My daughter thinks Cola will love her new 'trampoline' ;]

My previous dog had some trouble with chewing on her bed as well. We went through about 2-3 of them to be exact. We ended up getting a bed from Sleepipet and though she did attempt to chew on that one as well, the bed seems to be fairly durable so it seemed to last through the abuse my dog my dog attempted to give it, it has lasted through the years and the dog that I have now still uses that same bed. It was also nice that the bed is orthopedic since my previous dog had joint problems later on in her life.
Also to help with the chewing issue I would suggest obedience training if you can afford it because it really helped a lot not only with chewing on her bed and other furniture, but with a lot of her other destructive habits as well (she was a bit of a handful when we first got her)
