i'm currently reading jean donaldson's culture clash and i'm finding it quite fascinating. i'm wanting to read more on the subject and also get into the area of body language, but there seems to be a lot out there i'm not sure where to start. so what would be good to move onto once i've finished culture clash?
I would STRONGLY recommend 'Bones would rain from the Sky' next. By Suzanne Clothier. Its been almost life changing for me and I'm not 'turncoat' over a few written words usually!
Infact I'mn seriously considering buying a copy for every puppy pack I ever make in the future for every pup i ever breed I feel that strongly about this book.
been looking at reviews on amazon and i think for now i'm going to start with 'bones would rain from the sky', so i'll be passing that onto my hubby so he can kindly buy it for me
Have been meaning to read Bones Would Rain from the Sky for a while now and this thread reminded me so I've ordered it. I suspect I'm going to cry lots.
I started Bones Would Rain from the Sky on Friday. Be warned, it's addictive, I'm nearly finished it! Fantastic book. Wish I'd known about it long before now.
i too got mine on friday, it's fantastic, so well written and makes a lot of sense to me. i'm looking at things quite differently now, especially lead walking.
well, the story of Chance at the beginning was a bit teary and i have to say i did read a little bit at the end last night and i did blub big time, so no it's not just going to be you
i know what you mean about the reviews, as even they are really quite moving. i've found what i've read so far, to be just full of emotion - her writing that is - and mainly good, happy stuff so far. you can really tell she has passion for what she does and the dogs she works with.
You'll definitely like it Angela, I've read it three times now!
Not only does she think about the bigger picture and the long term impact of our treatment of our dogs, but it is beautifully written and a joy to read.
Whenever I feel like I'm losing the plot I pick it up again, it makes everything make sense and people like CM fade away to a slightly annoying buzzing in the background
I started reading 'bones' last week and have been telling everyone I encounter about it.
It is fantastic, beautifully written and it really opens ones eyes to the things in life that it is too easy to take for granted. An utterly life enhancing book. I too wish I had found it sooner.
