Hi
Has anyone got any advice on how to get puppy back in crate after going for wee and poo?
Lexi is 13 weeks and she is getting up at 3/4am after going to bed at 9pm. But she refuses to go back in crate and if I get her back in with some of her kibble she is crying and howling till I go back down. I’m finding it hard as it’s waking my partner up and he is getting really annoyed by it.

Freeze it! I put kibble in then stuffed tinned dog food in the top to seal it off, then freeze it. Or squirt some honey and maybe smear the interior with peanut butter (beware of brands that contain artificial sweetener). This is what I used to give Freddie after he went out early early.

I don’t soak the kibble, I put it in loose and dry and then block it with wet dog food (quite a lot), then freeze it.

Juice had/has carrot as a treat, she loves it ❤
I cut carrot up into little pieces, big enough to go in the kong, but not that easy to get out. It didn't take long before she learnt to lie down with it tucked under her chin to start defrosting, then pick it up at the small end shake it, then bash it on the side of the crate to empty it. I would lie back in bed listening to the sound and doze off thinking "her brain has had a quick workout", she's asleep and I'm kernakered!!! 😂
