Default Daisy

I donít very often post now, but for those of you who may remember me, my beloved yellow girl, Daisy died early morning of last Friday. I had taken her to the vet the evening before because her breathing had become rather laboured and her limbs had spasms. She did have arthritis and developing laryngeal paralysis, but vet wasnít sure. He gave her a pain killer and we went home to see how she got on. When we arrived home I settled her in her bed and she never left it again. Her breathing became laboured. Just after dawn, she raised her head and put it on my hand as I stroked her, shut her eyes and she slipped away. I am glad she died peacefully at home, but we are all devastated. Holly and Bryan are still rather quiet and even our young Airedale is subdued. Daisy spent a lot of time playing with her - and lying on her when she became too boisterous! I miss Daisyís absolute love of being with people, of snuggling, of picking things up for me.....Iím so glad I had the opportunity to share her life.

I'm so very sorry Judi, but what a lovely way for her to slip away. I pray Amy will slip away like that. Twice now I've thought she'd gone but she is still with me.

Love, John

So sorry to hear that your Daisy died, she looks gorgeous and sounds a wonderful girl. She was lucky to have you right to the end and she must have felt so loved and peaceful. Sending you all hugs and best wishes, remember all the good times you had together and how lucky you were to have her in your life ...and her to have a family who cared so much for her, and will remember her always x
