Skinners or masters? I've been recommended both by different people, which to get? Is there much between them?

I use Masters Meaty Crunch, have for years. But I won a sack of Skinners Field and Trial in a gundog working test one year, and fed it to my dogs, who both did well on it so to me there is little to choose between the two. (But a friend has the local concession for Masters so I get special rates, so that swings it for me. ) Both Skinners and Masters sponsor gundog working events, so plough some of the profits back into dogs which I consider a reason to support these manufacturers.

One thing to remember about both of these, as they are aimed at working dogs they are vat free, which means they are both cheaper than other comparable foods. (But saying that, they are perfectly fine for non working dogs.

Well I like to support those who give back, and skinners seems easier to obtain around my part of the country, so I guess skinners has got to have a try. 😉

Skinners certainly has a wider distribution, and as I said, there is precious little to choose between them. If for any reason I could not get my usual Masters then Skinners would be my choice as a replacement.
