Default Raw diet?

Our dog Gibbs is not liking dry kibble and has taken himself down to pretty much one meal a day, we've tried a variety of different brands but no luck finding one that he actually likes so far.

So, raw diet. I'm considering if its worth looking into this bearing in mind I haven't a clue! So, are there suppliers that I can order from and it gets delivered which is either already frozen or I can freeze? Do I have to start buying extra stuff from the supermarket and feeding him this? (this would definitely be his preference! )

I don't want to go down the route of having to spend £££ and lots of time preparing food, I already have the fun involved in feeding young children!

My two are raw fed and love it!

I do diy now from our local butcher, but there's loads that do pre-packed, frozen delivery to your doorstep! You will need lots of freezer space though, I have a separate dog food freezer in the garage. I used to use DAF when I first started out, they deliver nationwide and I had no issues with them.

www.daf-petfood.co.uk/

There's loads of others too that deliver, Nutriment, Honeys, though you may find a more local supplier. I've never done it but I would imagine buying from the supermarket would be expensive!

There's a facebook group and website called rawfeeding rebels (I put a link into the website on the other thread you commented on), they have loads of good info and can probably recommend you local suppliers.

My two are raw fed and have been for around 3/4 months. They were on millies before which was fine but wouldn’t go back to kibble now.

I mix between diy and completes, it just depends on time. Storage is important, my two have a chest freezer and an upright fridge/freezer to themselves.

I order from Scruffles/raw pet supplies/natural dog direct/rawtdoor and the butchers.

Tried daf and didn’t like the quality, it’s cheap but I didn’t like using it.

Cola and Rubix had whole skinned rabbits for tea last night.

As in given then a whole rabbit minus the fur? Lol, Gibbs would love that! (once he had figured out what to do with it)

Yes, whole rabbit minus fur and head. They both love it, they have a huge variety which is great. I’m waiting for an order to be delivered- rabbit, ostrich, beef, turkey, pheasant, chicken, venison, plus Testicles, spleen and all the other bits needed

I love making up meals for the girls, would love to do a month worth but sticking to weekly at the moment due to pup still growing. I bought loads of plastic tubs and have a meal prep day every week

They will have whole quail on Saturday

You can feed fur on too, suppose it depends on how it comes or where you get it from!

Mine get a great variety too which is one of the things I like about feeding raw, the most interesting was when they had half a sheep head each, teeth, eyes and all!

I have a couple of rabbits in the freezer that still have their coats on 😂 I know Rubix would love it but canít see Cola enjoying it as she can be fussy!

They both love rabbit, they have Testicles added to meals today

I once got testicles from the butcher too, can't remember it now but they use a much nicer name! When I asked for them the butcher told me how nice they are pan fried in butter with some cayenne pepper, needless to say I had to try them but only did so once! They have a different kind of texture to them!
