Default Switching dog food

Hi Guys
Changing my labs food from Arden grange to MWH, currently trying 5kg of the countryside mix. Anybody got any advice or experience of any of the other varieties from the mwh mix?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice

I think you need to see how your dog takes to what you are trying.

My lot have had a few months on Tracker, then the Riverside, and now back on the Salmon an veg which I think for them is the right one, but we may have a change again in a few months time.

They have been on it for a couple of years, and it was the first dry food that seemed to suit all three.

My spaniel is on Tracker as she needs low fat food for pancreatitis, and my lab is on Utility, which is a 50/50 food. I have never tried her on the higher protein foods because this one has always suited her.

Keep this in mind: when changing your dog's diet, you should make sure that you do it slowly as changing it abruptly might cause diarrhea. Just wanted to remind.

Just thought I would update this MWH query as we have had a sudden change for two of my girls, as they have been struggling with weight gain [I know the feeling;-)] they have been on the Salmon an Veg for a long time and it did agree with them, But, they have both gained weight and I really want them back where they should be, so we are on the Tracker for them and carefully monitoring [doggy weight watchers:-)] it is as already said lower fat so hopefully they will be happy and improve their waist line, I think they can have a tad more in theit bowl as it is lighter in weight.
Bruno is still on the Salmon and veg and it is definately the right one for him as he has always been a skinny boy, but now a nice covering, plus solid poo and not too huge .

Hope you are still doing ok with the Countryside.

Also, I have to say as long as the change over is done sensibly I have never had a huge problem, if I get one runny poo at change over the dog gets one meal with a squirt of Prokolin and is usually back on track by the next meal.
May be useful to someone to know
