Just to add to this...when we were switching Monty to MWH a while ago, Phil G mentioned feeding raw to me then. Although we haven't completely switched he does now have a bone a day more or less.
He gets 130g kibble for brekkie, biscuit for lunch post walk, and 130g at 5ish for tea. When we have our supper, out comes the bone as Monty doesn't yet have great table manners so we're still on the 'distract' method.
Monty's variety includes (all raw, all frozen straight from the freezer); chicken wings, legs, thighs, beef ribs (morrisons do beef bones packaged from butchers counter), pork ribs, oxtails, duck necks (frozen from pet shop). I have given Monty a pigs trotter which randomly our garden centre do but as Phil G said, it made him very constipated so if I give him a trotter, I never let him have it all in one sitting.
Monty will also have a marrowbone in the day sometimes if I'm on a telco with work and he's getting itchy for company.
So I do reduce his food portion and keep an eye on number twos but he loves it (so much so, I'm now struggling to get him to eat his kibble....but that's for another thread!)
