Default Water in crate?

We will be going back to work when our lab is 10 weeks plus old and she will be in a crate from around 8/8.30am until the dog walker comes in around 11.30am and then she’ll be in the crate until 3.00 ish.

She doesn’t have water in her crate and my wife is concerned that the pup will need water during the day when she is on her own.

Any advice?

The short answer is yes, she will need water available. We are in February, by March we could be having warm days again so water gets even more important as the days warm up. But even in cold weather it's not cold indoors, central heating sees to that. But I have to say, leaving a 10 week old pup who is not clean in the house is going to cause you problems. Also at that age she will still need to be on four meals a day, so you will need to organise this somehow.

I've done it with my pups, they coped pretty well as long as you get a good routine going. You can get a variety of different bowls that clip on to the side of crates, one thing I would say is avoid any with a painted surface as this is something that they can chew off.
